Top Tech Apps For Your Business

Technology has developed many cost-effective solutions in the form of tech apps for your business.

With the help of several tech apps and programs, you can find more time in your schedule and save yourself the effort of administrative tasks that don’t interest you. There is certainly a tech app available today to meet your needs, save you time and  streamline your business!

When seeking out the top tech apps for your business, consider these factors:

  1. Ease of Use (and intuitiveness)
  2. The amount of time you will save
  3. Cost (is it a free app and if not, is it worth the price?)
  4. How well it works on both desktop and mobile device

Which top tech apps are event professionals using today? Here’s are 7 top tech apps to consider for your business!

ZipWhip

This is perfect for event professionals who want to maintain a separate business line, but still want to access it through their personal mobile device. ZipWhip allows clients to text your business phone number so you can receive the message on your own cell phone, keeping it separate from your personal communications.

Doodle

To be completely honest, Doodle has been a game-changer in our business. Our schedules are busy and it can sometimes be a headache trying to figure out the best time to meet with a prospect or a client. With Doodle, we simply send out a link to our clients so they can easily visualize our availability and then pick a time that works best for them. Doodle is also great for setting up meetings with multiple people. It allows you to ‘poll’ everyone on their availability and choose the slot that is a best fit.

Square

When you think of Square, you may think of your favorite coffee shop or food truck that uses it to process your payments. However, it’s so much more than that – in addition to payment processing, it also offers online and scheduled payment options. It can also process payroll, which simplifies your internal efforts, and offers competitive processing rates – all around, a really great tool for small businesses.

Dropbox

Many professionals already use Dropbox, but if you’re not familiar, it’s time to give it a try. Through cloud storage, Dropbox allows you to access all of your files from any platform – be it through a mobile app, the Dropbox website, or an integrated desktop program. In addition to sharing files with team members, it’s also very simple to send Dropbox links to share large files with clients and editors (for those real wedding submissions, for example). Give it a shot and don’t look back.

Canva

If graphic design isn’t your specialty and you can’t afford to bring on a professional, check out Canva for a free alternative. With millions of images and easy-to-use editing tools, you can create anything from print marketing materials to those snazzy curated Instagram photos you love so much.

Later and Schedugram

Speaking of Instagram, I’m sharing two of our favorite Instagram scheduling apps. Later is a free program that is great for scheduling posts ahead of time and, when the time comes for a post to go live, you’ll get a notification that pushes you to Instagram to manually post. For full automation, we recently switched to Schedugram (which charges a monthly fee) and, once scheduled, our posts are published to Instagram without any extra steps. Both apps are great quality – it’s up to you whether you want to spend a little more for convenience.

Well, there you have it – seven top tech apps for your business. Please keep in mind that everyone has different preferences when it comes to interface and capabilities, so what works for me may not work for you and vice versa. Regardless, the best way to see which tech apps are a good fit for your business structure is to experiment until you find one that you’re ready to implement!
