Tips for Keeping Your Event Space Fresh

While event spaces are permanent structures, that doesn’t mean you can’t keep things up-to-date throughout the year. Having an event space that feels fresh will help attract more clients and guarantee more bookings.

So, how do you do it? See our best tips below:

Include Trends

Trends are a funny thing because while couples will no doubt want to see them incorporated in their wedding, you don’t necessarily want to make a big change to the space if it’s something that might not be popular a year from now. Be sure that the changes you do decide on are going to be long-lasting and fit the venue. You wouldn’t want replace all of your silver flatware with gold and then have no other options in a year when silver comes back into fashion. Get with a local rental company and see what they can provide to help elevate the space, and make them available to upsell for guests.

Keep Up with Maintenance

This should be a no brainer, but make sure that you are always keeping up with any maintenance for the space. That includes any fixtures, paint, plumbing and the infrastructure itself. Keep the process simple by creating a maintenance request form and designating one person to be in charge of keeping up all the repairs. Employees will be more inclined to report any issues if there aren’t a million hoops to jump through getting the repairman out to the venue.

Have Regular Walk-Throughs

It’s easy to keep your head down and walk straight into your office everyday without really taking a look around you to see what’s going on, so having walk-throughs scheduled on a regular basis is the best way to make sure you are up-to-date with the state of the property. Be sure you are testing lightbulbs, checking for fingerprints on windows, looking for dust, etc. On event days, be sure that there aren’t any boxes accidentally left out, or other visible eyesores that might take away from the scene.

Keeping your event space fresh isn’t difficult as long as you have a plan in place to check in regularly and keep up with it.
