Outdoorsy Bar Mitzvah Event Spotlight
We spoke with Melisa Imberman, President of The Event Of A Lifetime, Inc. to learn more about the beautiful bar mitzvah she planned using Allseated. Melisa and her team give personalized attention to each client to ensure that every detail is taken into consideration which is evident in the spotlight below.
This family originally hoped to host their son’s bar mitzvah in Colorado where they live, but most of their guests live in New York and were nervous about traveling with COVID concerns still prevalent.
The parents were hesitant to have it in New York City, unsure if the event could come to fruition the way they envisioned it. It was important to them to celebrate their son in a way that represents him, and they weren’t certain if New York was the right place for that.
After extensive searching, Melisa found the perfect venue – a rustic inn nestled in the woods. Allseated was particularly helpful since this venue doesn’t hold many events.
Allseated’s floorplan illustrated exactly how to set up for the service, cocktail hour, and luncheon.
Using Allseated, Melisa was able to create the outdoorsy environment the family evisioned.
They set up a large tent on the deck of the inn to hold the bar mitzvah service. Afterward, guests headed to the lawn behind the inn to enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Guests were then divided up into two groups and provided with dri-fit T-Shirts to play a game of soccer, the bar mitzvah boy’s favorite sport. They changed into either blue or purple, but both teams represented number 13 on their backs! The weather was humid and warm that day, but the guests excitedly participated in the soccer game – from toddlers to grandparents!
While everyone was on the lawn, the deck was reset for lunch. In keeping with the outdoorsy vibe, the tables were dressed in blue burlap linens & the centerpieces were a lush combination of succulents & flowers in a wooden box that had Nathan’s logo burned onto it.
Allseated was a lifesaver when it came to figuring out the event floorplan, and really aided in making this family’s vision come to life for an outdoorsy bar mitzvah in New York City!
