Light it Up
Candles, candles and more candles! This is a classic and simple look that is easily achieved while creating a major impact. Lining the aisle draws the eye to the front of room where you will exchange your vows. Clear vases and white luminaries are the perfect vessels to keep the flames enclosed.
Not allowed to have open flames at your ceremony? Don’t worry, battery operated LED lights give off the same gorgeous glow but keep everyone safe. Cluster them in different sizes and place them next to the bottom of each chair to create visual interest. You can even sprinkle extra flower petals among them to create a soft look.

New Heights
Draw the eye up by taking décor vertical. It is a huge trend in receptions, from flower walls to hanging lights, they can be added to your ceremony for a beautiful effect as well. Use lanterns on Shepherd’s hooks for an outdoor affair. If you are looking for a more dramatic effect, use arches and don them in string lights for a little sparkle and twinkle.
Eclectic Mix
Think outside the box and swap out the traditional runner for a collection of vintage rugs layered on top of one another. Potted plants are a unique option to use along your aisle. Try using cactus or tropical plants for a fun twist. This will set your wedding apart from other celebrations your guests have been to.

Focus On Your Wedding Canopy
Your wedding canopy should be just as beautiful as your aisle. After all, it will be the backdrop for all of your ceremony photos. Extend your use of candles over to the wedding canopy. Set them on a vintage table or even create a semi-circle with them. If you want something more substantial, use an arbor or arch draped with fabric, florals and LED bistro lights.
Your aisle and wedding canopy are the perfect places to set the tone for the rest of the affair. Take one or a few of these aisle inspiration ideas to create the backdrop for a beautiful wedding ceremony.
