3 Questions To Ask Yourself Before Selecting Your Wedding Dress

Many brides have been dreaming about their wedding dress since they were little girls! Now that the time has finally arrived to select your wedding dress, you may find yourself overwhelmed with the decision making process.

To ensure you select the right wedding dress for you, ask yourself the following 3 questions:

  1. Do I look better in white or ivory?

A trick you can do is hold up the two color options near your face to see which shade compliments your coloring more. Grab a white t-shirt, sheet of paper or pillow case. Next grab something Ivory, camel or a tan color and see which one you look best next to your skin. You may find that you like one shade over the other which will help you in selecting your wedding dress!

  1. What style flatters my shape?

Before you grab the cupcake style dress that swallows you up and hides your figure, consider which cuts you have in your closet. Do you often go with strapless, v-necks, scoop necks or halter styles? Knowing which styles leave you feeling most confident and work best for your body in your regular wardrobe can help to guide you in selecting the shape and style of your wedding dress.

  1. Does this dress fit my personality?

If you find that you love the way a specific wedding dress fits but it doesn’t immediately scream your personality, perhaps you can add something to make the dress pop and feel more like “you”. There are many ways to jazz up a wedding dress by incorporating your personality. Consider a colorful shoe that peeps out from the bottom of the dress, a sentimental pendant, brooch or even a fancy belt.
