10 Questions To Ask Before Hiring Bridal Beauty Team

We wanted to share that list of questions with you today so that you have them available to you as you work through the process of selecting your vendors!
By arming yourself with as much information regarding your hair and makeup for your wedding day as possible, you will feel more confident and organized in your planning — and less stressed in the process.
1.What is your experience with weddings?
It’s important to ask the hair stylist and make up artist their experience with weddings as working with brides on their wedding day is different from other types of events.
2. How many weddings do you do in a year?
Asking this question will give you an even better idea of their experience with weddings.
3. Will I need touch ups during the affair?
If so, perhaps they can provide you with the type of make up to use and/or be available at your wedding for an added fee.
4. Is there a minimum for booking off-site hair and make up?
It’s always good to ask the financial questions up front so that you know monetarily what you are looking at should you book them as your vendor.
5. Do you require a deposit and do you have a contract? Are trials included in the price?
All hair stylists and make up artists have different pricing, packages and requirements. It’s important to ask these questions early on to make your decisions.
6. Do you bring an assistant?
An assistant may be necessary if your bridal party will also be having their hair and make up done for the wedding.
7. What brands of make up are in your kit? What if I have allergies?
If you have allergies to certain make up brands or ingredients, it’s important to let the make up artist know in advance. You may wish to ask the make up artists which products they work with as well as find out if you are able to incorporate some of your own favorites if necessary.
8. Are you willing to work with hair extensions?
Be sure to ask specific questions based upon the types of hair styles you may wish to create for your wedding day.
9. How do I decide the timeline of when you need to get me ready?
Your bridal beauty team will need to know your wedding day timing details in order to effectively schedule your appointments.
10. Do I need to wash my hair before you do my hair?
This is a very important question and the answer relies heavily on the way you plan to wear your hair the day of your wedding. Definitely ask the stylist this question!
